Michelle Henderson,
Director

Center Director, Drama Program Coordinator

Michelle Henderson graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Generic Special Education. She has continued her education by securing a Master's Degree in Education from Texas Women's University and by completing the Graduate Autism Intervention Program at the University of North Texas.

Michelle spent the first 9 years of her professional career teaching at the elementary school level. During that time, she developed a special education inclusion program for the students at her school. Michelle has been working as an educational diagnostician ever since then and has experience in diagnosing children within the Autism Spectrum Disorder on the autism team of her local school district.

Working as an educational diagnostician has been rewarding for Michelle. She enjoys consulting with parents, evaluating and diagnosing children with special needs, helping develop educational programs for children, and working with other special educational professionals.
